Monkey Paw Birthday

Today is my beautiful husband's birthday. He likes things clean and simple so I am obliging him with this card. His favorite color is blue - so I used Old Olive. =]  I had a complete other card design in mind when I picked out the color but I really like the way this one finished. Very easy and quick! I stamped the fern in Certain Celery first then took the Old Olive Stampin' Write marker and 'thumped' it around on the fern to give it a little life.

Old Olive, Very Vanilla card stock. Old Olive, Basic Black, Certainly Celery inks. SU!  French Script and Sanded background stamps, PTI sentiment from Handwritten Notes, Rubber Stamped Monkey Paw Fern. Black brads and dimensionals finish it off.

  1. Another classy card... bet DH loved it. So happy that I am a follower. You make simply wonderful cards.

For me card making is a total addiction... I will neglect my kids, not cook, name it and I will not do it but cards, I will make no matter what. So it can be quite threatening to my home life, you know. I am trying to get my children to fall in love with this hobby of mine... partial luck with the older one who is 11 while the younger one who is 3 has started dabbling in stamping... The trouble is when I want to make my cards and be on my own, the younger one comes running, saying, 'let's do stamping, let's do stamping...' and that is the end of my card making...

That was a lot of waffle there...

    Happy crafting,

    Monica
