Heart Box

Hi all! I know you have seen these on my blog before but I had to make a couple more and show them off! They can be a little tedious but they are so cute when they're finished. I made these for my hair dresser and her assistant and of course, they loved them. Instructions can be found here. Thanks for stopping by!

Nugget Purse

Since the very first time that I saw a nugget purse it was LUV! I cannot get enough of these little cuties! I am using retired DSP on these while I patiently (yeah, right!) wait for my new DSP to arrive. They are so cute and very easy. I could pop out quite a few of these in an hour. Instructions are below! =] Enjoy the little things in life - especially if they hold CHOCOLATE!!!

Cut a 1 ½” x 4 ½” piece of cardstock. Cut a coordinating 1 ¼” x 4 ½” piece of DSP, or use plain cardstock and run it through the Big Shot with an embossing folder.

Place Sticky Strip along the back of the DSP or embossed sheet, center and attach it to the 1 ¼” x 4 ½” piece of cardstock.

Take the assembled piece and place it on the paper cutter and score at 1 - 3/16”, 2 - 3/16”, 3 ½” and 3 ¾”. Fold the creases.

Take a 5” piece of coordinating ¼” grosgrain ribbon (or color your white ribbon with the Stampin’ Up! Write markers). Place a piece of sticky strip along the ¼” section on the inside of your purse, peel it then attach the ribbon to make the handle.

Using the Trio Flower Punch, punch out the flowers in a complimentary colored cardstock or DSP. Place flower on the mat pack, pierce a hole through the center, and stick a brad through it but don't open it just yet.

Close the flap on the purse and punch a hole through both layers of the purse with a paper piercer. Run the brad through the hole and secure it.

Take a 1” x 3” piece of coordinating DSP and adhere along the back then wrap it around each nugget.

EASY!!! And so stinking cute!

Do love to trade stuff as much as I do? I think it is the best thing since rubber stamps! I mean you get new to you stuff and give new to them stuff that neither of you use to both that will get used! It's crazy green! I just made a fabulous trade and along with some extra goodies to my trader I made a thank you card to go along with it. Hope my trader is a happy trader. I know I am happy with my new to me goodies! =]

Every purse needs a billfold. This one holds a bill snugly.

No purse should ever be without chocolate!

This is a fun little purse and pretty darn easy to make which makes it even funner!

Tiny Hello

Hello everyone!!! I made a VERY simple card for my husband to send to a friend of his daughter's that was thoughtful enough to send him a Christmas card. He decided he needed it all of the sudden yesterday right before I was heading out for the day. This is very typical of him and I am smiling thinking about it. I had asked if he wanted a store bought or hand made card and he said without missing a beat "a handmade one will be good". Still, I am smiling to think that my manly man prefers home made to store bought. It makes this girl proud. *sniff* This is plain WW card stock and Kiwi Kiss ink and ribbon and the stamps are Tiny Tags from SU!

Touching Story

Good Thursday morning to you! I have this blog mate over in Carmel, IN named Curt who is just the best fellow and paper crafter ever! I met him through a 'box need' back in November and have been a follower of his since then. Today while I am enjoying my tepid cup of coffee (my coffee maker broke with a little help from me and we are using an old one that makes a warmish cup of joe instead of a steaming hot one so if you have a brand you want to suggest - please do!) I am perusing his blog and he has a friend named Katie that is having some very difficult times. I read her story and I am so touched, saddened, inspired, horrified, angered, overwhelmed that I just want to reach through cyber space and pluck the disease from her so she can carry on and enjoy life with her husband and boys for 50 more years! She is a very strong individual in my opinion and I want you to go over there and read her story and maybe leave her some love, too. She has a P.O. Box address if you feel inspired to send her a note. Hugs to you all!

'Field Fog

Top picture is the view down the street on a day clear enough to see the mountains! Lately, however, that has not been the case. It has been raining. A lot. Then the rain stopped. The temperatures dipped into the 30's. The fog rolled in for a visit. The next photo was taken at 8 AM today and I am sitting in front of the window and the fog is still pretty thick at 1 PM. In fact, we have a fog advisory until 8 PM. Then it will be back tomorrow. =] I love this wacky weather. Click on the picture and you can see a truck pulling a trailer in the distance.
